Randy Rushing is the Councilman for District 1 in Livingston Parish. He was born August 12, 1960, is married to Lisa Mendoza Rushing, has a terrific son, Eric, and is a high school graduate of Doyle High School, class of 1979. He has been a lifelong resident of Livingston, Louisiana (District 1) and has been a member of the Livingston Intergovernmental Commission since the year 2000. Councilman Rushing loves being involved with kids and has been a summer league coach for ten years. He enjoys fishing, hunting and has a strong love of cooking for benefits and helping people in times of need. He is employed by DEMCO as a lineman, a member of Local 767 IBEW(3rd generation Union Member), and has been the Chief Steward at DEMCO for the past ten years. Councilman Rushing states: “I pledge to continue with Honest and Fair Leadership”.

District Description:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Spillers Creek with the Livingston Parish/St. Helena Parish boundary, then easterly to the centerline of centerline of West Hog Branch and the Livingston Parish/St. Helena Parish boundary, then proceed southerly to the centerline of US 190; then westerly to the centerline of the Tickfaw River; then southerly to the centerline of interstate 12; then westerly to the southern corporate limits of the Town of Livingston; then continue westerly along the corporate limits to the centerline of Interstate 12; then easterly to the centerline of to the centerline of a pipeline; then northerly to the centerline of Hornsby Creek; then northerly to the centerline of to the centerline of US 190; then westerly to the centerline of LA 449; then northerly to the centerline of Carroll Street; then southeasterly to the centerline of Middle Colyell Creek; then northerly to the centerline of LA Hwy. 1025 (Courtney Road); then westerly to the centerline of West Colyell Creek; then easterly and northerly to the centerline of Sims Road; then westerly to the centerline of Spillers Creek; then northeasterly to the point of beginning. [Note: This District includes the corporate limits of the Town of Livingston.]
