SEWERAGE DISTRICT NO. 8
Sec. 17-150. Created.
Pursuant to the authority conferred by R.S. 33:3881 et seq. there is hereby created a sewerage district within the parish, comprising and embracing all of that territory within the following described boundaries, to wit: Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Grays Creek and the centerline of U.S. Highway 190, same point being on the east corporate limits line of the City of Denham Springs; thence northeasterly along the centerline of Grays Creek and said corporate limits line for approximately 100 feet; thence north along said corporate limits line for approximately 2,100 feet; thence east along said corporate limits line for approximately 700 feet; thence north along said corporate limits line for approximately 1,400 feet to the south line of a 168.53-acre tract owned by Gene Buckel and Samuel Davidson; thence east along said property line for approximately 1,900 feet; thence north along the east line of Section 48, Township 6 South, Range 3 East and said property line for 343 feet; thence east for approximately 3,000 feet to the centerline of Eden Church Road; thence southerly along the centerline of Eden Church Road for approximately 1,500 feet to the section line between Sections 28 and 29, Township 6 South, Range 3 East; thence east along the south line of Livingston Parish Recreation District No. 3 property for approximately 2,550 feet; thence due south for approximately 1,200 feet to the centerline of I.C.R.R. right-of-way; thence in a northeasterly direction along centerline of I.C.R.R. for approximately 5,100 feet to the centerline of West Colyell Creek; thence southeasterly along the centerline of said creek for approximately 900 feet to the centerline of Louisiana Highway 1027; thence in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of Louisiana Highway 1027 for approximately 1,600 feet to the intersection of Louisiana Highway 1026; thence continuing southwesterly along the centerline of Louisiana Highway 1026 for approximately 2,450 feet to the centerline of U.S. Highway 190; thence south for 500 feet; thence in an easterly direction parallel and 500 feet south of U.S. Highway 190 for approximately 4,000 feet to the centerline of West Colyell Creek; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of said creek for approximately 3,700 feet to the south line of Section 34, Township 6 South, Range 3 East, and the township line between Township 6 South and Township 7 South; thence west along said section line for approximately 3,900 feet to southwest corner of Section 34; thence south for approximately 15,840 feet to the southeast corner of Section 16, Township 7 South, Range 3 East; thence west along the south line of old Ward Two for approximately 16,000 feet to the range line between Range 2 East and Range 3 East; thence north for approximately 6,200 feet to the centerline of Millers Canal; thence in a southwesterly direction for approximately 700 feet to a point where the east line of Section 42, Township 7 South, Range 2 East intersects the centerline of Louisiana Highway 1034 (Vincent Road); thence in a southwesterly direction for approximately 3,400 feet to the southeast corner of the Clyde Johnson homesite that fronts on Louisiana Highway 1032 (4 H Club Road); thence due west for approximately 1,150 feet; thence due north for approximately 4,000 feet to the south line of Section 68, Township 7 South, Range 2 East; thence in a northwesterly direction along said section line for approximately 3,000 feet to a point where said section line intersects the present corporate limits line of the City of Denham Springs; thence easterly along said corporate limits line for approximately 8,600 feet to a point 500 feet east of the centerline of Louisiana Highway 3002 (South Range Avenue); thence northerly along said corporate limits line for approximately 1.6 miles to a point approximately 100 feet north of the centerline of Bay Street; thence east along said corporate limits line for approximately 4,850 feet to the centerline of Grays Creek; thence northerly along the centerline of Grays Creek and said corporate limits line for approximately 2,800 feet back to the point of commencement.
