SEWERAGE DISTRICT NO. 7

Sec. 17-136. Created. 

Pursuant to the authority conferred by R.S. 33:3881 et seq. there is hereby created a sewerage district within the parish, comprising and embracing all of that territory within the following described boundaries, located in District Four (old Ward 4) of Livingston Parish, to wit: Commencing at a point where the township line between Township 6 South, and Township 7 South intersects the centerline of the Tickfaw River; thence east along said township line of approximately 15,700 feet to the southeast corner of the southwest 1/4 of Section 32, Township 6 South, Range 6 East, G.L.D.; thence due north for 2,640 feet; thence due east for approximately 2,640 feet to section line between Section 31 and Section 32, Township 6 South, Range 6 East; thence north along the west line of Section 32 for approximately 2,640 feet; thence west along the south line of Section 30, Township 6 South, Range 6 East for approximately 5,280 feet to the range line between Range 5 East and Range 6 East; thence north along the west line of Section 30, Township 6 South, Range 6 East for 2,000 feet; thence due west for approximately 1,700 feet to the centerline of Mayhaw Branch; thence meandering northerly up to the centerline of Mayhaw Branch for approximately 13,200 feet to a point which is approximately 1,300 feet due west of the southeast corner of the northwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 5 East; thence east for approximately 1,300 feet to the southeast corner of the northwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 5 East; thence north for approximately 10,560 feet to the northeast corner of the southwest 1/4 of Section 1, Township 6 South, Range 5 East; thence due west for approximately 2,640 feet to the centerline of the Tickfaw River; thence meandering in a southerly direction along the centerline of the Tickfaw River for approximately 2,000 feet to a point 1,000 feet due west of the east line of Section 2, Township 6 South, Range 5 East; thence south parallel and 1,000 feet west of said section line for 9,500 feet; thence due west for approximately 5,800 feet to centerline of the Tickfaw River; thence meandering in a southerly direction along the centerline of the Tickfaw River for 24,500 feet back to the point of commencement. A community commonly known as Holden is located within the above described boundary.
