SEWERAGE DISTRICT NO. 5

Sec. 17-108. Created. 

Pursuant to the authority conferred by R.S. 33:3881 et seq. there is hereby created a sewerage district within the parish, comprising and embracing all of that territory within the following described boundaries, located in Sections 16 and 17, Township 9 South, Range 5 East, Southeastern Land District, Livingston Parish, Louisiana, to wit: Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 17, Township 9 South, Range 5 East, Southeastern Land District, Livingston Parish, Louisiana; thence south along the west line of said Section 17 for approximately 1 mile to the southwest corner of said Section 17; thence east along the south line of said Section 17 for approximately 1 mile to the southeast corner of Section 17; thence continuing east along the south line of Section 16, Township 9 South, Range 5 East for 4,000 feet; thence north for 2,500 feet; thence west for approximately 2,400 feet to the centerline of Louisiana Highway 22; thence in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of Louisiana Highway 22 for approximately 1,500 feet to a point 250 feet north of the north end of the bridge over Chinquapin Canal; thence in a northwesterly direction parallel and 500 feet north of the centerline of Louisiana Highway 22 for approximately 6,700 feet back to the point of commencement. A community commonly known as Chinquapin is located within the herein described boundary.
