RECREATION DISTRICT NO. 9

Sec. 12-151. Created; boundaries. 

By virtue of the authority conferred by Section 4562 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, there is hereby created a recreation district within the Parish of Livingston, Louisiana, comprising and embracing all of the territory within the following described boundaries, to wit: Beginning at a point where centerline of the Amite River intersects the centerline of Bayou Barbary; thence easterly following the meandering course of the centerline of the Amite River and an easterly projection of said centerline to the east line of Livingston Parish; thence south along the east line of Livingston Parish through Lake Maurepas to an intersection with and easterly projection of the centerline of Blind River at a point where Blind River empties into Lake Maurepas; thence westerly along the projection of the centerline of Blind River and the centerline of Blind River to its intersection with the centerline of Petite Amite River; thence westerly and northerly along the Petite Amite River centerline to its intersection with the centerline of the Amite River; thence easterly along the centerline of the Amite River; thence easterly along the centerline of the Amite River to the intersection with the centerline of Bayou Barbary and the point of beginning.
