RECREATION DISTRICT NO. 2

Sec. 12-37. Generally. 

By virtue of the authority conferred by R.S. 33:4562 et seq., in Chapter 11 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, there is hereby created a recreation district within the parish, comprising and embracing all of the territory within the following described boundaries, to wit: Beginning at the northeast corner of Section 1, Township 5 South, Range 3 East; thence running south on range line between Range 3 East and Range 4 East to the southeast corner of Section 25, Township 5 South, Range 3 East; thence running west on section line between Sections 25 and 36 and 26 and 35, to the northwest corner of Section 35, Township 5 South, Range 3 East; thence running south on section line between Sections 35 and 34, and 3 and 2, to the southeast corner of Section 3, Township 6 South, Range 3 East; thence running west on section line between Sections 3 and 10, 4 and 9, and 5 and 8, and the extension of said section line through Headright Sections 37, 46 and 64 to the intersection of said extended section line with the dividing line between the Parishes of Livingston and East Baton Rouge; thence in a northerly direction along said dividing line and following the meanderings of the Amite River to the intersection thereof with the township line between Township 4 South and Township 5 South; thence running east on said township line and the line between the Parishes of Livingston and St. Helena to the northeast corner of Section 1, Township 5 South, Range 3 East, the point of beginning.
