GAS UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2

Sec. 17-206. Boundaries. 

The district created in this division shall contain within its boundaries a certain tract situated in former Wards Four (4), Six (6) and Ten (10) of the Parish of Livingston, State of Louisiana, in the following described boundaries, to wit: From a point which is the northwestern corner of Section Six (6), Township Seven (7) South, Range Six (6) East, Greensburg Land District of Louisiana, and run south along the range line separating Range Five (5) and Range Six (6) East to its intersection with the northern bank of the Amite River and corner; thence following the meander of the northern bank of said Amite River to Lake Maurepas; thence along the northwest bank of Lake Maurepas to the range line separating Range Six (6) East and Range Seven (7) East; thence north along said range line to the intersection with the corporate limits of the Village of Springfield, Louisiana; thence in a northerly direction along the western corporate limits of said village to a point three hundred (300) feet north of the northern margin of Louisiana Highway No. 441 and corner; thence three hundred (300) feet north and parallel with the northern margin of Louisiana Highway No. 441; run in a westerly direction to the western margin of section Eleven (11), Township Seven (7) South, Range Six (6) East, Greensburg Land District and corner; thence north along the western margin of said Section Eleven (11) and Section Two (2), Township Seven (7) South, Range Six (6) East and Section Thirty-Five (35), Township Six (6) East and Section Thirty-Five (35), Township Six (6) South, Range Six (6) East, to the northeast corner of Section Thirty-Four (34), Township (6) South, Range Six (6) East; thence west along the northern margin of Sections Thirty-Four (34), Thirty-Three (33) and Thirty-Two (32), Township Six (6) South, Range Six (6) East; thence south along the western margin of said Section Thirty-Two (32) to the southwestern corner of said section Thirty-Two (32); thence west along the southern margin of Section Thirty-One (31), Township Six (6) South, Range Six (6) East to the northwestern corner of Section Six (6), Township Six (6) South, Range Five (5) East and the point of beginning; except and excluding the area described as follows, to wit: Begin at the intersection of Sections 10 and 11, Township 7 S., R. 6 E., of the original district boundary; thence run south along the northern line between Sections 10 and 11, Township 7 S., R. 6 E., Sections 14 and 15, Township 7 S., R. 6 E., to the intersection of Louisiana Highway No. 42; thence east along said highway to a point 300 feet East of Rayard Road, said road which runs north and south along the section line between Section 14 on the west and Sections 42 and 23 on the east, all in Township 7 S., R. 6 E., to a point 300 feet north of the intersection of Fayard Road and Louisiana Highway 1037; thence east and parallel to a distance of 300 feet north of Louisiana Highway 1037 to a point which is on a line extending from the west boundary of the corporate limits of the Town of Springfield, said line being North 51 degrees West; thence along said line North 51 degrees West to the west margin of Section 11, Township 7 S., R. 6 E., and the point of beginning.
