FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 4

Sec. 6-91. Boundaries. 

Fire protection district No. 4 shall contain within its boundaries the following described territory, to wit: Commencing at the southeast corner of Section 15, Township 7 South, Range 3 East; thence in a westerly direction along the south line of Sections 15, 16, 39, 17 and 18, Township 7 South, Range 3 East for approximately 3.2 miles; thence project said line in a westerly direction for approximately 2.2 miles until said line intersects with the centerline of the Amite River; thence in a southeasterly direction along the centerline of the Amite River for approximately 4.3 miles to a point in the centerline of the bridge, being Louisiana State Highway No. 16; thence in a northeasterly direction along the centerline of said bridge to the high bank of the Amite River and the corporate limits of the Village of Port Vincent; thence in a northerly direction along said corporate limit line for approximately 2.0 miles to a point being on the east margin of Louisiana State Highway No. 447; thence in a southerly direction along said corporate limit line for approximately 3.0 miles to the centerline of Colyell Creek; thence in a northerly direction along the centerline of Colyell Creek for approximately 12.7 miles to a point being the intersection of the centerline of Colyell Creek and the centerline of Hornsby Creek; thence continuing in a northerly direction along the centerline of Hornsby Creek for approximately 4.4 miles to the south line of Section 16, Township 6 South, Range 4 East; thence in an easterly direction along the south line of said section line for approximately 0.4 miles to the southeast corner of Section 16, Township 6 South, Range 4 East; thence in a northerly direction along a line between sections for approximately 9.0 miles to the north line of Livingston Parish and northeast corner of Section 4, Township 5 South, Range 4 East; thence west along the north line of Livingston Parish for approximately 6.4 miles to the centerline of the Amite River and the west line of Livingston Parish; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of the Amite River for approximately 14.8 miles to a point where the projection of the south line of Section 5, Township 6 South, Range 3 East intersects with the centerline of the Amite River; thence in an easterly direction along said projection line for approximately 2.2 miles to the southwest corner of Section 5, Township 6 South, Range 3 East; thence continue in an easterly direction along the south line of Section 5 and Section 4 for approximately 1.4 miles to the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of Section 9, Township 6 South, Range 3 East; thence in a southerly direction along the quarter section line of Sections 9, 16, 21, 28 and 33, Township 6 South, Range 3 East for approximately 4.5 miles; thence continue in a southerly direction for approximately 1.5 miles to the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of Section 4, Township 7 South, Range 3 East; thence in an easterly direction along the south line of Section 4, Township 7 South, Range 3 East, for approximately 0.5 miles to the southeast corner of said Section 4; thence in a southerly direction along the east line of Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 3 East for approximately 1.0 mile to the southeast corner of said Section 9; thence in an easterly direction along the north line of Section 15, Township 7 South, Range 3 East for approximately 1.0 mile to the northeast corner of Section 15; thence in a southerly direction along the east line of Section 15, Township 7 South, Range 3 East for approximately 1.0 mile to the southeast corner of Section 15, and the same point being the point of commencement, outside the corporate limits of the Village of Port Vincent, State of Louisiana.
