FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 1

Sec. 6-23. Boundaries. 

Fire Protection District No. 1 shall contain within its boundaries the following described territory, to wit: Bounded on the north by the north lines of Sections 26, 27, 29 and 43, Township 5 South, Range Six (6) East, bounded on the east by the parish line separating Livingston and Tangipahoe Parishes; bounded on the south by the line dividing Townships 6 South and 7 South, Range 6 East; and bounded on the west by the range line between Ranges 5 East and 6 East. 

By virtue of the authority conferred by LSA-R.S. 40:1492, and pursuant to resolution adopted by the Village of Albany, the Livingston Parish Council does hereby merge into the boundaries of Livingston Parish Fire Protection District No. 1 all that property contained within the territorial limits of the Village of Albany as follows: A tract of land, beginning at the intersection of Little Natalbany River with north line of south half of Section 23, Township 6 South, Range 6 East, and run west to the center of Section 22; run south one and one quarter miles to southwest corner of north half of southeast quarter of Section 27; then run east parallel with north line of said Town to intersect with Little Natalbany River; then run north along center line of Little Natalbany River to the point of beginning.
